Immerse Yourself in the History and Beauty of Seville with Our 2-Hour Guided Tour of the City’s Most Iconic Landmarks

This unique experience will take you on a journey to discover the architectural and historical treasures of Seville’s monumental area and the charming Santa Cruz neighborhood. Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll explore the city’s most significant landmarks, admiring its cultural heritage and learning about its fascinating past.

We will begin the tour at the Seville Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, where you will be awed by its imposing façade and, of course, the majestic Giralda, its bell tower. While we won’t enter the cathedral, your guide will share the history of this monumental complex, which is also one of the city’s most iconic symbols. From here, we’ll head to the Alcázar of Seville, a royal palace that combines various architectural styles, with a special emphasis on its stunning Mudejar architecture. We will explore its surroundings, admiring its gardens and courtyards that transport us to the time of the Catholic Monarchs, though we will enjoy its beauty from the outside.

Next, we’ll visit the Archivo de Indias, a Renaissance building that houses the most important documents related to the colonization of the Americas. This archive is key to understanding Seville’s crucial role in the history of the Spanish Empire. From there, we’ll enter the Jewish Quarter of Seville, a maze of alleys filled with history where the Jewish community once settled. This neighborhood, full of charm and mystery, is one of the city’s most picturesque corners, with its whitewashed houses, small squares, and hidden nooks.

The tour will continue through the Murillo Gardens, a peaceful and serene place where you can relax while strolling among fountains and lush vegetation, with views of the city walls. From there, we will head to the University of Seville, one of the oldest educational institutions in Spain, dating back to 1505. This historic building, with its grand façade and rich academic tradition, is one of the most important institutions in the city.

Finally, we’ll arrive at the impressive Plaza de España, one of Seville’s greatest landmarks. This magnificent square, built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, is a spectacular example of Andalusian regionalist architecture. We will walk through its vast spaces, admire the benches decorated with tiles representing all of Spain’s provinces, and share more about its history and significance.

Our guided tour is available every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Thursday, lasting 2 hours, and starting promptly at 11:00 AM. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore the main monuments of the city in an ideal amount of time for those with a busy schedule, but who still want to immerse themselves in Seville’s history and culture.
